Welcome to AFROmacro, capturing the living jewels of southern Africa.

AFROmacro showcases the photographic collection of Simon Joubert, capturing the vivid fauna and flora of this region in photographic masterpieces. All of these images are available as photographic prints and photo canvasses. A series of full colour and black and white cards using images available on this site are for sale (see the Showcase - Cards page).

We also offer an image sourcing service. Stock photography web sites often showcase beautiful insect and floral images however they usually lack the specialist data base that may be required. We can source images of a large number of plants, rare butterflies and other insects from a very reliable database of photographers and scientists.  Contact us if there is anything you requir and we will do what we can to source the image.

Please note that whatever you see on this site is recent (taken in the last 6 months).  We have a large data base of images of insects and plants......all you need to do is send a mail and we will assist.

Simon and Fran Simmons (www.fransimmons.co.za)  have The Kiln Gallery at the Karkloof Farmers Market outside of Howick.  The Gallery is open from 7 till 11 every Saturday or on request.  Exhibitors at the Gallery include Fran, Simon, Andre de la Rosa, Denise Beuck and other local folks.
